Reporting a size that looks wrong

This is the message we most want to receive. Every size on this site is calculated from a single measurement, the ring’s inner circumference in millimetres, rather than copied from another chart. That means an error in one place would show up consistently everywhere, so a single clear report is genuinely useful to us.

It helps enormously if you tell us the size you entered, the system you entered it in, the answer you got and the answer you expected. If your expected figure came from a jeweller or a printed chart, mention which one. Published ring size charts disagree with each other more often than people realise, and part of our job is working out which one is right rather than assuming it is us.

What we can and cannot help with

We are happy to explain how a conversion works, why two systems disagree, or how to measure a finger properly when the usual methods are not working. If a result looks strange and you cannot tell why, send us the numbers and we will look.

We cannot tell you someone else’s ring size, value or identify a piece of jewellery, or advise on whether a particular ring can be resized. That last one depends on the metal, the setting and the individual ring, so it is a question for the jeweller who will do the work. For an engagement ring or anything that cannot be altered later, we will always suggest confirming your size in person before you buy.

Suggestions and corrections to the writing

If something on the site is unclear, badly explained or simply wrong, we would rather know. The same goes for a conversion you expected to find and could not. Requests like these have shaped what gets built next more than anything else.
